Type: Full-Time or Part-Time | Store Opening in 2026!

As we open our new store in [Insert city/state], we’re looking for Meat Cutters/Butchers who are passionate about quality, craftsmanship, and serving others. You’ll help create an exceptional experience for every guest who visits our fresh meat department — whether they’re picking out a favorite cut for a family dinner or planning a special occasion.
What You’ll Do
- Cut, trim, and prepare fresh beef, pork, and other meat according to Meijer’s quality standards.
- Follow production schedules to meet daily and promotional needs.
- Ensure displays are well-stocked, visually appealing, and maintained with care.
- Assist with ordering, receiving, and organizing fresh meat deliveries.
- Uphold food safety and sanitation procedures to the highest standard.
- Deliver warm, friendly customer service and build relationships with guests.
- Partner with team members and leadership to keep the department running smoothly.
What You’ll Bring
- Passion for fresh food and craftsmanship in meat cutting.
- Knowledge of weights, measures, and proper cutting techniques.
- Attention to detail and a focus on quality and safety.
- Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Prior meat-cutting or butchery experience required —we’re happy to train you the Meijer way!
- Hand jack/Hilo license a plus.
