Job Title: School Success Clinician (3 Positions) Reports to: Elementary / Middle / High School Principals At Delton Kellogg Schools, we are committed to fostering a collaborative and community-oriented environment. Position Summary The School Success Clinician, as a member of the Counseling Department, will deliver a comprehensive guidance program for students in grades K–12. This role includes providing individual and group counseling, consulting with teachers, staff, and families, and supporting the overall educational experience of Delton Kellogg students. Key Responsibilities Administer a comprehensive behavioral health assessment including the use of screening tools Development of a treatment plan/plan of care, with input from student and parents/caregivers as appropriate Behavioral health interventions to enhance the psychological, behavioral, emotional, cognitive, and social factors important for the prevention, treatment, or management of behavioral health concerns Assess the effectiveness of the delivered services toward achieving the student driven goals and objectives via treatment service plan review Assess needs for additional counseling services, making referrals when appropriate to Community Mental Health System Crisis intervention Assure correct development and implementation of treatment and prevention plans using best practice models. Will provide direct mental health and support services to students. Administer behavioral health screening tools. Establish and oversee the district PBIS cooperative. Work with teachers on strategies for dealing with students that struggle with mental health and behavior. McKinney Vento Coordinator for building. PBIS Team Member Coordinates meetings with families and school staff as requested. Works collaboratively with all staff and contracted providers. Efficiently and effectively communicates information about treatment interventions updating other team members, school staff and families to assure consistency and success for the student. Consults with a direct supervisor about any concerns or issues that impact students and/or families' care or compliance with regulations. Participate in monthly supervision individually and/or assigned group supervision with other teams. Works collaboratively with community service providers and other community agencies. Provide individual (according to scope of practice) or small-group counseling to named students in areas such as coping skills, self-esteem, self-regulation, bullying and interpersonal relationships, and other social conflicts. Work with classroom teachers and other professionals on the development of class-wide interventions, individual interventions, functional behavior assessments and behavior interventions plans. Ensures compliance, within the program, with all applicable laws and regulations. Participates in data management and reporting. Up to date training and understanding of current best practices, research and trends regarding skill development, ACES, trauma, and behavior. Obtaining and integrating information about a student’s behavior and supports necessary for success in school and life. Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or a related field with appropriate Michigan Licensure. Previous School Experience preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other educational software applications Knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local educational laws, policies, and regulations Ability to work collaboratively and maintain strong communication with students, staff, and families Other qualifications as deemed appropriate by the Board of Education. Compensation and Benefits Competitive salary starting at $65,000 or more depending on experience. Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, and vacations. Choice of two retirement plan options The final candidate for this position will be required (at the applicant’s cost) to furnish Delton Kellogg with a current Michigan State Police and FBI criminal records check prior to our recommendation for hire.
