Operating Room Circulating RNShift's Available: Days (No weekends or holidays and no on-call)Employment Type: Part TimeHours: 10-hour shifts – 7:00am to 5:00pmLocation: South Kansas City Surgicenter - Overland Park, KSWe are seeking an Operating Room Circulating Registered Nurse (RN). You will be a part of a close-knit, highly collaborative operating room team that assists with Orthopedics, Podiatry, Gastroenterology, and General Surgeries. The OR Circulating RN is an essential member of the perioperative team, who advocates for patients that are under anesthesia and/or sedation and the OR RN that conducts an inventory of supplies and equipment used during and after the surgical procedure.ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):Prepare the operating room, ensure the cleanliness of the environment, and confirm that all required equipment is functioning properlyAssist in preparing the patient for surgery, which may involve verifying the patient's identity and surgical site, helping to position the patient on the operating table, and ensuring that all necessary pre-operative procedures are completedDocument pertinent information before, during, and after the surgical procedure, such as the patient's vital signs, medications administered, and any other relevant details for the patient's medical recordMaintain a safe and sterile environment in the operating room by adhering to strict infection control protocols and ensure that all team members follow proper procedures for handling instruments and equipmentQualificationsEducation and Work ExperienceCurrent and valid state RN License.Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on the job training.Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred.Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.Here are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare:Health, dental, and vision insurance optionsPaid vacation, sick time and holidaysBereavement leave, FMLA and other leave optionsEmployer 401K optionsTuition reimbursement optionsLife, disability, and other insurance optionsMany other amazing benefitsFull benefits at Prime Healthcare: StatusPart Time < 60ShiftDaysEqual Employment OpportunityCompany is an equal employment opportunity employer.
