As with all positions employed by Community Aid, the Maintenance Technician is to maintain a high standard of professionalism and provide top quality service and appreciation to every customer, client and employee.KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:Responsible for handling facility repairs as problems arise including, but not limited to, carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical and HVACAssist in maintaining a preventative maintenance program for all facilitiesEnsure that all work is done in compliance with industry standards, OSHA and other legal requirementsCommunicate any material and equipment needs as well as daily progress of ongoing projectsConduct periodic inspections to determine repair needs and serve as the point of contact for management when they need to report a problemCORE COMPETENCIES:Embrace, exemplify, and endorse CommunityAid's 12 Core BehaviorsEmbrace CommunityAid's MissionAssist in creating a safe, pleasant and hospitable working and shopping environmentMaintain strong customer, client relationshipsServe all customers and clients in a courteous and efficient mannerHandle all donations with care and donors with respect and courtesyImmediately report theft, customer complaints, injuries and any unsafe equipment or conditionsMaintain a clean and clutter free work areaComply with Community Aids Employee Manual and any other established standards, policies, and directives of Community Aid ManagementOther duties that may be assigned by the CEOAbility to trouble shoot and to diagnose Maintenance problemsQUALIFICATIONS:Experience in carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical repairsProficiency in both written and spoken EnglishExcellent customer service skills with a strong sense of urgencyAbility to work independently and multi-taskMust be able to travel between all CommunityAid locationsValid drivers license requiredAble to lift up to 75 pounds and pass a DOT and fit for duty physical, a DMV and background check
