This remote role offers the opportunity to shape clinical teams across an assigned market and help healthcare practices attract highly qualified providers. You’ll manage the recruitment journey from sourcing and initial engagement through interviews, offers, negotiations, and onboarding. The position combines healthcare recruiting expertise with relationship management, market knowledge, and strategic sourcing. You’ll work closely with physicians, advanced practitioners, Medical Directors, operational leaders, and client stakeholders to address staffing needs. Your ability to understand provider qualifications and local market dynamics will directly support practice stability and clinical effectiveness. This is a fast-paced, collaborative environment where organization, communication, creativity, and follow-through are essential.

Accountabilities:

As a Market Clinical Recruiter, you will lead end-to-end recruitment activities for physicians and advanced practitioners across assigned practices, serving as a consultative partner to clinical and operational stakeholders.

• Source and recruit primary and supplemental healthcare providers using traditional and creative sourcing strategies.
• Manage prospective candidates throughout the full recruitment lifecycle, from identification and screening through interviews, offers, negotiations, relocation, and contract signing.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with Medical Directors, physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, regional leaders, and client representatives.
• Screen and engage qualified candidates and coordinate candidate reviews with Medical Directors and practice stakeholders.
• Coordinate interviews and, when appropriate, participate in or manage on-site candidate interviews and community-focused initiatives.
• Match providers to client sites based on clinical skills, licenses, preferences, board status, credentials, certifications, and applicable state and federal requirements.
• Build recruiting pipelines through professional networks, specialty associations, physician recruiting resources, residency and fellowship programs, referrals, conferences, and industry events.
• Partner with sourcing specialists to ensure timely follow-up and consistent communication on candidate leads and status.
• Collaborate with recruiting leadership to ensure appropriate resources are allocated to open positions and high-priority staffing needs.
• Support offer negotiations involving travel stipends, commencement bonuses, relocation expenses, and other approved employment terms.
• Review applications, obtain and document references, and maintain accurate and timely candidate records in the applicant tracking system and related databases.
• Conduct follow-up communications with clinicians regarding applications, required documentation, and other recruitment activities.
• Maintain consistent candidate engagement throughout the hiring process and after the provider’s first clinical shift, communicating relevant information to operations teams when needed.
• Monitor and track market intelligence within the assigned territory, including rate information that may support business development and proposal activities.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate combines healthcare recruitment experience with strong relationship-building, communication, organizational, and consultative skills, along with an understanding of clinical staffing environments.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Healthcare, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 2 years of healthcare recruitment experience, or 4 years of experience in general recruitment, healthcare provider services, sales, or account management.
• Experience working with applicant tracking systems and related recruiting or database platforms.
• Knowledge of hospital-based medical specialties and physician practice operational models.
• Understanding of healthcare provider recruiting and the ability to navigate clinical qualifications, licensing, credentialing, board status, and professional certifications.
• Knowledge of local and regional healthcare markets and communities is strongly valued.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clinicians, leadership, clients, and internal teams.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain mutually respectful professional relationships.
• Strong networking and candidate-sourcing abilities, including the creativity to develop new recruiting channels and generate candidate momentum.
• Highly organized, proactive, and strategic approach, with the ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong follow-through, attention to detail, and sense of urgency.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively across functions and organizational levels.
• Willingness and ability to travel to practice locations, conferences, or events when required.
