Join Our Team as a Licensed Professional Nurse with Rehab Without Walls!

A transitional rehabilitation program designed for clients recovering from neurological injuries. We offer a residential setting with 10 beds, private suites, and the feel of a beautiful Northern Michigan lodge.

Here at Dixie our focus is quality care; we keep low staffing ratios, so our clients get the care they need and deserve.

Our clients have access to intensive therapy services, educational programs, adaptive sports, community outings, and more!

Responsibilities

Responsibilities listed include but not limited to:

• Delivering attentive and personalized care following each client's unique care plan
• Monitoring and analyzing clients' vital signs, promptly reporting any notable findings to the healthcare team
• Administering medications, feedings, oxygen, and specialized care according to individual care plans, ensuring each client's specific needs are met.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals such as Physical Therapists (PT), Occupational Therapists (OT), and Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to ensure comprehensive care routines are established and maintained.
• Maintaining accurate documentation of all nursing actions, effectively communicating and documenting progress and outcomes for established goals.

Qualifications

What you will need:

• Proof of current license as an LPN or LVN in good standing from the state(s) of practice
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to work in a home-like setting.
• Be able to bend stoop, push, pull, sit, and walk for periods of time
• Able to utilize proper body mechanics while lifting 50 pounds
• Knowledge of individual service plans, including understanding of client rights and health needs
• Must have completed post-secondary coursework to facilitate licensure as an LPN or LVN
