Mechanic (Maintenance)

Responsibilities Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose engines found on maintenance and lawn equipment such as tractors, mowers, weed eaters, blowers and edgers. Perform routine engine maintenance on related components in the Maintenance and Grounds department. Test and inspect engines for malfunctioning parts. Repair or replace worn, broken or defective parts. Remove and reinstall mechanical and electrical components as needed. Follow all safety rules and regulations in repairing and maintaining various types of small engines. Maintain records, test results, and work performed as needed. Qualifications Education/Certification: High School Diploma or GED Valid Texas State Driver’s License Special Knowledge/Skills: Adept at using hand tools and computer diagnostic equipment; ability to work quickly and efficiently; strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills; excellent customer service skills; knowledgeable in mechanical and electrical systems; skilled in operating equipment and vehicles as they relate to the job; able to lift at least 45 lbs; capable of multi-tasking and detail oriented. Experience: 5 years in related Mechanic position.
