Job Title: Master Scheduler Job Category: Project and Program Management Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI with Polygraph Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: None Type of Travel: None The Opportunity The Master Scheduler will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing project schedules to ensure the timely delivery of projects. This role requires a strong understanding of scheduling tools, project management principles, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams. The Master Scheduler will play a critical role in aligning project timelines with strategic objectives and resource availability. Responsibilities Schedule Development and Maintenance: Create and maintain detailed project schedules using advanced scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and ensure alignment with project milestones, deadlines, and resource availability. Resource Allocation: Coordinate and allocate resources effectively to meet project timelines and quality standards; collaborate with project managers and team leads to balance workloads and address resource constraints. Risk Management: Identify potential scheduling risks and develop mitigation strategies; conduct regular schedule risk assessments and communicate findings to stakeholders. Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates to project stakeholders on schedule status, progress, and changes; facilitate meetings with project teams to review schedules and resolve issues. Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve scheduling processes and tools; implement best practices in scheduling and project management. Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all scheduling activities comply with company policies, contractual requirements, and industry standards; maintain accurate and up‑to‑date documentation of schedules and related communications. Support and Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior schedulers and project team members; mentor and train team members on scheduling best practices and tools. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field is ideal. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in scheduling, with a proven track record of managing complex projects. Experience in defense, intelligence, or federal projects is highly desirable. Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools. Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall). PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification is preferred. Certification in scheduling (e.g., Certified Associate in Project Management Scheduling (CAPS)) is a plus. Desired Qualifications Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
