About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years of current Level III or Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience required License: Active Texas or Compact RN license required Certifications: - Active AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required - Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required Must-Have: - Strong experience with HIE, surfactant administration, blood administration, NEC, and PICC line required - Must disclose any previous employment history in profile required - EPIC experience required Description: The Registered Nurse is a licensed professional who coordinates patient care delivery, focusing on a specific patient population. Using the nursing process, the RN assesses the patient and identifies nursing diagnoses based on responses to health problems. The RN develops and implements an individualized plan of care and evaluates the patient's response. The RN utilizes knowledge of patient needs and the healthcare environment to assist patients in transitioning through their healthcare encounters without any preventable complications or delays. The RN delegates interventions to healthcare personnel based on each patient's condition and the competencies of the employee.
