Job Description

SURESTAFF is immediately hiring a Shipping & Receiving Clerk for a client in Itasca, IL The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible tracking incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory records, and collaborating with team members to ensure efficient workflow.

SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation ($19/HR) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).

Available shift: 8:00am-4:00pm Monday-Friday

Responsibilities of the Shipping & Receiving Clerk:
-Entering shipping information into computer systems including order details, shipping methods, and tracking numbers.
-Updating databases with information about incoming and outgoing shipments.
-Maintaining accurate records of inventory levels
-Generating reports on shipping activity and productivity.
-Resolving discrepancies in shipments or inventory.
-Following safety protocols and maintaining a clean work environment.
-Safely use material handling equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks.

Required Qualifications of the Shipping & Receiving Clerk:
-Basic computer skills, including data entry
-Attention to detail and accuracy, and strong organizational skills
-Ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs.
-Experience and basic knowledge of UPS/FedEx systems
-Previous experience using forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks preferred
-Previous warehouse experience
