Electronic / Cable TechnicianGriffon Aerospace, a leader in the Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) industry, is seeking a skilled Cable Technician to join our team in a high-reliability manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in defense/aerospace manufacturing and be proficient in cable harness building and assembly. Griffon Aerospace is an AS 9100D/ISO 9001-2015 certified business. Our Madison, AL based small business is seeking innovative individuals who want to join an up tempo, maker culture that proudly provides products and services to support the American Warfighter!Key Responsibilities:Assemble electrical & electronic components, wiring harnesses, and other electrical assembliesManufacture electronic/electrical circuitry according to specifications and work ordersOperate automatic stripping, crimping, and wire cutting equipmentIntegrate and test sub-assemblies and final assembliesPerform minor setup of non-complex equipmentAssist with soldering and rework as neededMaintain a clean and safe working environmentRequired Skills/Experience:High school diploma or equivalentMinimum 2 years of high-reliability manufacturing experience (defense/aerospace preferred)Familiarity with ISO9001 or AS9100 standardsExperience with cable harness building (crimp and solder)Knowledge of IPC, J-STD, AS, and MIL specificationsMust have knowledge on JST Crimping and AssemblyDesired Skills/Experience:Current or previous IPC-620, IPC-610, or J-STD-001 certificationKnowledge of lean manufacturing processesExperience with defense/aerospace manufacturing requirementsAbility to sit or stand for extended periodsCapable of bending, reaching, climbing, and kneelingAble to lift/carry/push/pull items over 20 pounds frequently, up to 50 pounds occasionallyWork Environment:Manufacturing warehouse and lab settingMay involve exposure to loud noises, chemicals, and cleaning agentsPersonal protective equipment may be required for certain tasksJob Location:Madison, Alabama, United StatesPosition Type:Full-Time/Regular8-hour shift, Monday to Friday, Day shiftCompensation:Salary is commensurate with experience and qualificationsUS Citizenship Required:YesAbility to Obtain a Security Clearance:Yes
