Associate Director of Strategic Accounts, GPO

Associate Director overseeing strategic group purchasing organization (GPO) account relationships and commercial growth for a medical technology company operating across multiple U.S. locations. The role involves developing GPO strategy, driving revenue growth, managing contracts, and collaborating cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and finance teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive GPO strategy aligned to corporate growth and profitability goals
- Build executive relationships with national and regional GPO organizations and drive contract utilization expansion
- Lead commercial input into GPO contract negotiations, renewals, and evaluate profitability structures
- Partner with field sales and cross-functional teams to develop targeted growth plans and market strategies
- Represent company at GPO meetings and industry events; communicate market insights to senior leadership
Requirements
- Proven experience with major GPO platforms: Healthtrust, Vizient, and Premier
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience
- Executive-level relationship management and strategic account development skills
- Healthcare industry knowledge including reimbursement, IDN structures, and contracting
- Commercial acumen in contract negotiation, pricing, and financial performance analysis
- Cross-functional collaboration and internal stakeholder alignment ability
