Assistant Swim Team CoachNorth Scott Community YMCA - Eldridge, IA 52748End Date 10/12/2026## OverviewSalary Range$12.00 - $12.00 HourlyPosition TypePart TimeJob ShiftNightsEducation LevelNoneCategorySwim Team Coaches## DescriptionSCHEDULE: Must be available during team practices and meetsPAY RATE: $12.00The purpose of the Assistant Coach is to aid the Swim Team Head Coach in the development of competitive swim team participants through mastery of skills, knowledge of the sport, and goal setting. Participants of all ages on the team should gain an understanding of good sportsmanship, confidence, and the core values of the YMCA.* Support the Head Coach in daily practice planning and implementation.* Provide positive, safe, and age-appropriate instruction to swimmers of varying skill levels.* Foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and the YMCA's core values both in and out of the pool.* Assist with swim meets, including warm-ups, timing, and coaching on deck.* Help maintain a safe and supportive environment for all participants.Qualifications* Competitive swimming or coaching background preferred.* Strong communication and leadership skills with youth and families.* Ability to work evenings and weekends for practices and meets.* CPR/AED, First Aid, and Lifeguard certifications (or willingness to obtain).* Must be able to become USA Swimming certified* Must be at least 16 years of age.Perks of working at the Y!* Free individual YMCA membership!
