Contract | Full-Time | Days | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (closed 12:00–1:00 PM for lunch) | Weekend rotation approximately every 5 weekends covering inpatient units | Possible holiday rotation | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive musculoskeletal assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for a mixed patient population ranging from juvenile (typically age 5+) to geriatric
• Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions addressing diagnoses including total joints, back/shoulder/foot pain, and neurological conditions such as TBI, stroke, and Parkinson's disease
• Monitor and document patient progress in compliance with legal, ethical, and reimbursement standards
• Educate patients and family members on treatment plans, home exercise programs, and recovery expectations
• Coordinate care appropriately with other healthcare providers across outpatient and inpatient settings
• Flex into the inpatient medical-surgical and rehabilitation unit as needed, including weekend inpatient coverage

Required Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist (PT) state license for New Mexico
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient physical therapy experience (candidates with inpatient-only experience will also be considered)
• Ability to treat 8–10 patients per day in a primarily hospital-based outpatient setting
• Completion of required facility onboarding modules prior to beginning clinical work (approximately 20 hours)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in acute inpatient, acute rehabilitation, or skilled nursing settings in addition to outpatient PT
• Familiarity with neurological patient populations including TBI, stroke, and Parkinson's disease
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
