Electrophysiology RN - 3x12 Hour Shifts

Schedule

3 x 12 hour shifts, primarily days with some late night (evenings), holidays, on call/call per unit needs.

Job Description

The Electrophysiology RN is responsible for performing diagnostic electrophysiology procedures and interventions. Key duties include preparing patients for procedures, ensuring all equipment is functional, monitoring recordings during procedures, and assisting with lab analysis and data interpretation. The RN will also aid in pacing implementation and the installation of permanent devices related to cardiac health.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and equipment for studies and ablations as the circulator.
• Monitor and maintain fluids for ablation catheters and assist with the ablator.
• Remain patient-focused during procedures while collaborating with Anesthesia and documenting in Epic.
• Facilitate room turnover and coordinate with Charge Nurse and vendors to ensure on-time starts.
• Assist in performing RF and Cryo ablations, as well as device implants such as pacemakers and ICDs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN License (New York only)
• 2 years of experience in a relevant nursing role
• BLS certification from American Heart Association
• Proficiency in moderate sedation is required

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
