Responsibilities
- Deliver direct, patient-centered care in the Emergency Department, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing monitoring.
- Perform triage and initial patient assessment to identify urgent and emergent needs and set care priorities.
- Administer medications, perform procedures within scope, and monitor patient responses, adjusting care plans as needed.
- Lead and coordinate the ED care team, communicate clearly with patients and families, and collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff.
- Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, provide post-procedure instructions, and educate patients and families on treatment plans and safety.
- Ensure infection prevention practices, patient safety, accurate documentation, and thorough handoffs to receiving teams.

Requirements
- Active NYS Registered Nurse licensure
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; Stroke Certification (AHA or RQI accepted)
- Minimum of 2 years ED acute hospital experience as a registered professional nurse
- Ability to work in an ED setting with holiday rotation and flexible shift demands
- Start by 09/21/2026 or earlier as required by assignment notes
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge for trauma, critical care, and acute presentations across age groups
