To support this growth, we are seeking a Forklift Operator to play a key role in material handling and logistics. The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe handling of small to large components and materials (including sheet metal and structural parts) using a forklift. The incumbent loads, unloads, transports, and stores materials using a forklift, overhead crane, pallet jack, or hand truck, while ensuring safe and efficient operations at all times.**Roles and Responsibilities*** Safely carry out and transport components and materials to the various required departments using a forklift (6,500 lb propane), an overhead crane, a pallet jack, or a hand truck.* Inspect the components & materials received using the plans, BOM, MOC, receipt slip and other relevant documents* Identify the components & materials received* Keep the Reception area safe and clean (cutting and dismantling wooden pallets, preparation for recycling, etc.)* Attach slings, hooks, or other devices to lift and handle equipment and materials* Bundle, wrap or band material for shipment* Communicate with supply and quality any non-compliant delivery and participate in the development of the non-compliance report (quarantine area)* Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure accurate inventory* Participate to inventory/material counts* Participate when required in the loading of units* Other responsibilities as assigned**Qualifications****Education:** High School Diploma**Experience:** Relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
