Applications are being accepted for the position of Senior Procurement Specialist with the East Valley Institute of Technology. This position will work at our Main St Campus (1601 W. Main St Mesa AZ 85201). The hours are M-F 7:30-4:00.

Under the general direction of the Associate Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Procurement Specialist independently coordinates and administers the District's procurement program, including competitive solicitations, contract administration, procurement compliance, and purchasing procedures. The position exercises independent judgment on significant procurement matters, advises District leadership on procurement requirements and risks, and supports efficient, transparent, and compliant acquisition of goods and services.

Job Type: Full Time, 12 Month Exempt Salary: $65,115.00 - 81,805.00. Placement in the range will be based on a combination of education, industry related experience and certification. Education and Experience: Associate degree in business, accounting, finance, supply chain management, public administration, or related field, or equivalent relevant education and experience. At least three years of progressively responsible purchasing or procurement experience, including competitive purchasing and contract-related work.

Preferred Qualifications: Three or more years of public-sector procurement experience, preferably in an Arizona school district, CTED, community college, municipality, county, or state agency. Experience independently administering formal IFB's and RFPs; knowledge of Arizona School District Procurement Rules, USFR, and Federal Uniform Guidance. CPPB, CPPO, or NIGP-CPP certification; experience with iVisions or similar governmental financial software.

Licensing /Certification and Other Requirements: Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Identity Prints (IVP) fingerprint card. Proof of immunization against or immunity to measles and rubella if born after January 1, 1957.

Requires frequent use of computers, keyboards, and other office equipment to prepare, review, and process procurement documents, contracts, reports, and related records. Requires regular verbal and written communication with employees, vendors, and other stakeholders, including participation in meetings, presentations, and procurement-related discussions. Work is primarily performed in a professional, climate-controlled office environment. Occasional travel to other facilities or vendor locations may be required for meetings, site visits, or inspections. Position requires managing multiple priorities, meeting established deadlines, maintaining accuracy, and resolving procurement-related issues in accordance with applicable policies and regulations. Work Schedule, follows a standard workweek, with occasional flexibility required to meet operational needs and deadlines. Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, filing, and handling office equipment. Vision requirements include close and distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus to read small print. Ability to read, write, understand, interpret, and apply information at a moderately complex level essential for effective job performance. Be able to learn and follow verbal and written procedures and standards, and to provide clear verbal instructions when needed.
