Hana has built an excellent reputation through our partnerships within the Department of Defense, Homeland Security, and commercial services industry across the nation.Hana Enterprises is recruiting for a Material Handling Laborer to join our team!$20.83 per hour$5.55 Health and Welfare$250.00 dollar Sign On Bonus * (payable after 90 days of employment)Essential duties and responsibilitiesThe Material Handling Laborer is responsible for performing physical tasks to transport or store materials or merchandise.Loading, unloading and delivery of furnishings and appliances to customersReceive furnishings into an organization and verify furnishings against service orders to ensure the accuracy of the deliveryResponsible for the inventory shipments and notating any discrepanciesRouting furnishings to storage locationAssisting Appliance Technician in repairs and deliveryWorkers may use material moving equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts and dollies to bring furnishings to an appropriate locationAssisting in weekly forklift maintenanceCleaning and repairing furnishingsUnloading furniture/appliances from shipping containersAbility to lift 75 PoundsStrong Customer Service SkillsRequired to perform inventory of property.RequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalent required2 years specialized experience in DoD preferredMust have a valid driver's licenseKnowledge of standard warehouse loading and storage techniques requiredAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted is requiredAbility to pass DoD background investigation required.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesBeginner to intermediate computer skills; ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs.Ability to enter data accurately into databasesAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsInterpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff.
