Job Summary Senior Cloud Engineer (Public Cloud) Location: US East Coast (Remote) Division: Ticketmaster NA Line Manager: Sr. Manager, Public Cloud Contract Terms: Permanent, full‑time/40h per week Team Overview The Public Cloud team manages and scales Ticketmaster’s global AWS platform, supporting thousands of developers and critical services. Responsibilities include operational support, monitoring, governance controls, and best practices using Infrastructure as Code. What You Will Be Doing Enhance and modernize the AWS platform to meet evolving Ticketmaster requirements. Provide operational support for the global cloud platform, partnering with development teams. Design scalable, automated solutions for AWS account management in a multi‑account environment. Leverage AI development tools such as Claude Code to accelerate engineering workflows. Establish and improve governance capabilities, including security automation, IAM, and access management. Maintain and enhance Infrastructure as Code capabilities, primarily using Terraform. Develop and operate GitOps‑based workflows for infrastructure and platform delivery. Assess application and service requirements and provide architecture recommendations. Collaborate with Security, Network Engineering, and FinOps to improve cloud best practices. Implement security and governance controls to support PCI compliance and ongoing audits. Promote knowledge sharing across development teams on cloud capabilities and best practices. Contribute to agile team practices, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate on design and solutions. Respond to and resolve incidents to prevent recurrence. Support technology strategy and platform alignment across teams. Build proofs of concept with platform and product teams. Develop automation and tooling using Go, Python, or Shell. Manage code, automation, and pipelines using GitLab and CI/CD workflows. Participate in on‑call rotation and after‑hours support as needed. Technical Skills Advanced knowledge of best practices and standards for AWS (infrastructure, operations, IaC, networking, multi‑account management, IAM, governance, security, cost optimization). Familiarity with the AWS Well‑Architected Framework. Experience with Infrastructure as Code, primarily Terraform. Experience with CI/CD and GitOps workflows. Experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code or similar. Experience with Linux, containers, and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes or EKS. Working knowledge of cloud native and open‑source technologies. Understanding of security best practices and risk assessment. Experience working in a remote or distributed team. Behavioral Skills Highly knowledgeable in AWS and cloud technologies. Self‑directed and proactive. Passionate about technology and continuous improvement, including adoption of AI assisted coding. Comfortable working across cross‑functional teams. Motivated to solve complex technical challenges. Team oriented and collaborative.
