The right LPN should have 1 year of experience in an Acute Care hospital setting. Read below for more requirements.As an LPN in Acute Care, you will provide direct nursing care to patients with acute illnesses or injuries. Working under the supervision of RNs and physicians, you will assist in monitoring patient status, administering treatments, and supporting recovery in a fast-paced hospital environment.As an LPN, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:Assist with patient assessments and monitor vital signsAdminister medications and treatments as prescribedProvide wound care, catheter care, and other nursing proceduresAssist patients with activities of daily living and mobilityObserve and report changes in patient condition to nursing staffDocument nursing care accurately and timely in medical recordsSupport infection control and safety protocolsWork collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teamsPrepare patients for diagnostic tests and proceduresMaintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environmentThe ideal candidate must have at least one year of experience as an LPN in an Acute Care setting. Additionally, they should possess a current BLS certification and be eligible for State licensure. Additional certifications may be required.LPNs in acute care must be adaptable, detail-oriented, and capable of managing the demands of a dynamic clinical setting.Requirements*: BLS, ACLS, NIH, 1 Year * Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
