Direct Care Professional (DCP)

Awake Night Direct Care Professionals provide care for adults with disabilities during the overnight hours. Tasks include administering medications, light cleaning and laundry duties, meal preparation, checking on residents, repositioning, and more.

Paid training is provided $14.00 (part-time)-$16.25 (full-time) and no experience is necessary.

Rate of Pay:

$18.25-$20.25/hour for part-time employees working weekday awake overnight shifts, depending on house's Rate Exception Differential.

$20.50-$22.50/hour for part-time employees working weekend awake overnight shifts (Friday & Saturday), dependent on placement location's Rate Exception Differential, if applicable.

$20.50-$22.50/hour for full-time employees working weekday awake overnight shifts, dependent on placement location's Rate Exception Differential, if applicable.

$22.75-$24.75/hour for full-time employees working weekend awake overnight shifts (Friday & Saturday), dependent on placement location's Rate Exception Differential, if applicable.

Available Bonuses:

Part-time Awake Night: $500

• $100 at training completion, $400 6 months from training completion
• Must do 2 awake shifts/week

*Additional compensation includes optional asleep shifts paid at $11.50/hr, wage increases starting at 1 year of employment, bonuses, tuition assistance, and advancement opportunities.

Requirements Include:

• You must be at least 18 years old
• You must have a drivers license and a relatively clean driving record
• You must be able and willing to provide care for both male and female clients
• You must be able to do some lifting
• You must be able to work independently and you must have interpersonal skills including empathy, responsibility, self-control, good judgment, and overall adjustment
• You must be able to see, hear, speak, interact, and write in English sufficiently to perform the essential functions of the position
• Part-time requires a minimum of 10 shifts/month (2-3 shifts/week) with an increasing number of homes only requiring 2 shifts/week.
• Full-time employees must work at least 38-40 hours per week
