Description The Procurement Buyer supports domestic store operations through inventory management, sourcing execution, supplier coordination, and fulfillment support. This role manages new store opening requirements, competitive sourcing events, visual supply procurement, and partner communication across multiple markets. As experience grows, the Buyer will assume additional ownership of categories, sourcing strategies, and cross functional projects. Candidates for this position must be driven and enthusiastic to consistently perform at elevated levels. As the Buyer develops competencies and gains experience, they will be expected to assume more responsibility and leadership of spend categories and sourcing initiatives, taking on more strategic activities. Specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, supporting the direct supervisor and the broader category team in: Inventory, Fulfillment, Cash Wrap Packaging & Operational Support Responsible for 300+ unique SKUs and 50+ unique suppliers with sourcing, purchasing, budgeting, and inventory management in an efficient, cost effective manner for domestic stores and indirectly, International stores. Ensure accuracy of order execution, shipment timelines, and multi market fulfillment deliverables. Provide continuity for operational workflows, systems, and vendor relationships. Support business needs during peak demand, transitions, market expansions, and evolving priorities. Support administrative workflow for weekly packaging push files and quarterly purchase orders Sourcing, Quality & Supplier Management Execute competitive sourcing events and negotiate supplier costs, terms, and performance expectations. Verify product specifications and quality; identify and resolve issues with suppliers in a timely manner. Evaluate and select suppliers based on total cost of ownership, quality, capability, and business requirements. Partner with IPS (supplier auditing) and regional teams on supplier audits, compliance reviews, branded item requirements, and capability assessments. Real Estate & New Store Openings Support all Real Estate activity, including new stores, temporary stores, relocations, and closures through management of store trackers, templates, inventory levels, and order processing. Coordinate with Store Operations, Transportation, and 3PL (third party fulfillment vendor) partners to resolve opening issues, manage escalations, optimize shipping methods, and minimize backorders. Cross-Functional Partner Communication & Customer Support Serve as the primary point of contact for all Non-Merch inquiries, including shipment status, ordering questions, and issue escalation. Engage customers to understand objectives and recommend solutions from a customer centric perspective. Maintain a positive, professional approach while delivering exceptional customer service. Lead or participate in projects that improve processes, enhance customer experience, and support business growth objectives. Procurement Operations, Reporting & Financial Accuracy Support team and customer needs through accurate data entry, reporting, and analytics that identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Analyze spend, inventory, supplier performance, and operational metrics to identify cost savings opportunities, process improvements, and business risks. Develop and maintain productive supplier relationships to drive service levels, responsiveness, cost competitiveness, and continuous improvement. Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, improve customer experience, and support scalable business growth. Audit and approve invoices; resolve discrepancies promptly and ensure appropriate credit is issued. Minimum Salary: $67,700.00 Maximum Salary: $88,830.00 VS&Co provides a range of compensation for this role as shown. Qualifications Your experience Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Operations, Business, Statistics, Finance or Accounting 3+ years procurement or retail experience required with an understanding and focus on supply chain, retail operations, and financial analytics. Proven category and supplier management skills to effectively achieve results. Demonstrates strong project management competencies to organize and execute projects while documenting decisions and keeping applicable parties informed. Displays critical thinking skills, interpreting complex information and articulates analysis or conclusions for execution. Communicates in a highly effective manner (verbal and written) Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing demands, solve complex problems, and drive execution in a fast-paced environment. Ability to execute tasks in a thorough, accurate and timely manner while managing multiple, competing priorities with minimal supervision. Ability to travel as needed to support business objectives, including domestic travel (less than 5% travel required) Proficient in MS office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Proficiency with SmartSheet, Shopify or Deck Commerce preferred.
