Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care in a hospital setting.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, recognize complex clinical situations, and prioritize care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop, update, and communicate patient care plans, ensuring continuity of care.
• Demonstrate competence in caring for patients with complex problems, including performing bedside point-of-care testing as required.
• Assess patient and family readiness to learn and utilize appropriate patient education materials relevant to the population served.
• Participate in unit goal development, performance improvement activities, and promotion of a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience.
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school of nursing.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN or MSN from an accredited school of nursing.
• Experience caring for patients with complex medical-surgical conditions in an acute care hospital setting.
