Our client, a NYC-based media/advertising agency focused on global client partnerships, is seeking a Client Finance Manager to join their team in the NYC office.

Position highlights

• $95-$110k salary, depending on experience
• Hybrid schedule with 3 days in office and 2 days work from home

Key Responsibilities

• Provide financial analysis and reporting to guide business decisions and keep the financial side of each client account well managed
• Forecast and report revenue by client in line with company policy and GAAP
• Analyze resource allocation, utilization and profitability by client and by service line
• Support budgeting and re-forecasting, including monthly, quarterly and annual submissions
• Work with regional finance leads to consolidate financials for global review
• Oversee billing, accounts payable and receivable, collections on overdue balances and monthly reconciliations
• Act as the main day-to-day finance contact for several global clients and support their media teams in tracking media budgets
• Review scopes of work and price staff plans
• Own SOX compliance for the agency, partnering with controllership and the wider client finance team on monthly and quarterly control processes
• Partner with account directors to build a deep understanding of each client's business model and contractual arrangements
• Document and follow up on any budgeting, billing, invoicing or payment issues
• Advise on contract negotiations alongside the legal team
• Handle daily finance tasks such as client and job setup, production invoices, ad hoc reporting and vendor payment issues

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of client finance experience, ideally from a large global media/advertising agency
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business, or equivalent professional experience
• Excellent communicator who is detail-oriented, organized and comfortable working independently
• Advanced Excel skills and strong PowerPoint skills
• Audit or compliance background and digital media experience are a plus
