Position Overview

The Lawn Maintenance Crew Leader is responsible for leading a crew of two to five team members while delivering exceptional service to our residential, commercial, and HOA clients. This position is ideal for an experienced lawn maintenance professional who takes pride in quality workmanship, enjoys leading others, and thrives in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

As a Crew Leader, you'll be responsible for ensuring properties are maintained to Total Turf's high standards while promoting safety, efficiency, and teamwork. You'll have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills and grow within a rapidly expanding company.

Responsibilities

Leadership

• Lead and motivate a lawn maintenance crew of two to five team members.
• Train and mentor crew members.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.
• Lead by example through professionalism and work ethic.

Lawn Maintenance

• Perform and oversee lawn mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing.
• Ensure all properties meet Total Turf's quality standards.
• Identify and communicate property issues or customer concerns.
• Complete daily property inspections for quality assurance.

Equipment & Operations

• Safely operate commercial mowing and landscape equipment.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
• Ensure trailers, trucks, and equipment are organized and properly maintained.
• Complete timekeeping requirements.

Customer Service

• Maintain professional interactions with clients.
• Address minor customer concerns in the field.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding property needs and opportunities.

Safety

• Promote and enforce company safety standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Ensure all crew members follow company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous lawn maintenance or landscaping experience required.
• Leadership or crew management experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Ability to safely operate commercial lawn equipment.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
