Diverse Abilities Swim Instructors (Part-time) Diverse Abilities Swim Instructor Start ASAP Mondays 5-6 p.m. Private Lessons Available The YMCA is a leading nonprofit dedicated to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. As the nation's longest-standing provider of swim lessons, the Y plays a vital role in promoting water safety and skill development. We are currently seeking a Diverse Abilities Swim Instructor to provide direct leadership, instruction, and motivation for students in swimming classes designed for individuals with diverse abilities. Experience working with children with special needs is a must Position Responsibilities

• Instruct swim lessons aligned with YMCA standards
• Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
• Motivate and support swimmers with diverse abilities
• Demonstrate and teach proper swimming techniques
• Uphold and model YMCA core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility

Schedule & Availability

• Mondays 5-6 p.m.
• Additional private lessons available

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Required experience working with children with diverse abilities
• Ability to demonstrate swim instructor skills, including 4 of the 6 strokes in good form per YMCA standards
• Preferred: YMCA Swim Instructor certification or equivalent

* Certifications a plus:

• CPR for the Professional Rescuer
• Basic First Aid
• Ability to perform physical tasks required for swim instruction
