The YMCA of Orange County is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. We are actively seeking highly engaged, intentional, and service-oriented individuals for part-time Water Aerobics Instructors in Orange County.This role is an opportunity to inspire and empower members by delivering engaging, safe, and effective group exercise classes. This position will look to foster genuine connections, practice exceptional hospitality, and create a safe, positive, and enriching environment where every interaction is meaningful. The Water Aerobics Instructor will help to promote healthy lifestyles and reflects our commitment to community well-being.Location: Mission Viejo YMCAWork Schedule: Instructor required to be available for teaching a class on Monday's at 9:00am.Purpose and Impact:Inspire Healthy Lifestyles:Motivate participants to achieve wellness goals and model positive habits.Foster Community and Inclusion:Create welcoming spaces and build meaningful connections that enhance member experience.Ensure Program Excellence:Deliver engaging, safe, and high-quality classes aligned with organizational standards.Maintain Safety and Standards:Uphold safety regulations and ensure proper care of equipment and facilities.Minimum Qualifications:Minimum Age: 21+ years old.Education & Experience:Preferred: Two- or four-year degree in health, exercise science, recreation, or physical activity-related field.Coursework in human anatomy, exercise physiology, and kinesiology preferred.Up to 2 years of experience in aerobic/anaerobic and strength conditioning required.Related background in health and/or fitness.Certifications:Certification in Water Aerobics or Aqua Zumba required.First Aid and CPR certifications required (training provided and paid for by the YMCA).Benefits & Perks: Invested in YouFREE YMCA Membership, Classes, and Pool Access.FREE ClubConnect membership with access to continuing education, professional certifications, and valuable fitness resources.FREE Virtual Health Care Solutions (Teledoc).Program Discounts.Retirement FundPaid Sick Time.Learn more about the YMCA and opportunities at: a conditional offer is made, candidates will be subject to criminal background check, drug screen, and will be asked to provide criminal history.
