This position provides exceptional customer service while helping patients access the care and resources they need. Key Responsibilities Greet patients, families, and visitors in a professional, courteous, and welcoming manner Register patients and verify demographic, financial, and insurance information for accuracy Collect and record patient identification and insurance documentation in the electronic health record Receive point-of-service payments and provide information regarding payment options and financial assistance resources Schedule patient appointments and assist with appointment coordination across clinic services Answer incoming calls, assist callers, route messages, and provide exceptional customer service both in person and over the phone Maintain accurate patient records and update demographic and insurance information as needed Complete assigned electronic worklists related to patient registration, insurance verification, and medical information Explain and process Release of Information (ROI) requests and coordinate documentation with Health Information Management staff Support clinic operations by maintaining front office supplies and assisting with administrative duties Ensure compliance with patient privacy, confidentiality, and HIPAA requirements at all times Collaborate with providers, care teams, and support staff to ensure patients are prepared for services and appointments Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred Minimum one year of experience in a healthcare clinic, medical office, customer service, or administrative support role Experience with patient registration, appointment scheduling, medical billing, or insurance verification preferred Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic health records preferred Strong customer service and communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and general computer systems Strong data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail Work Schedule KANA’s standard work schedule is 37.5 working hours per week, consisting of 7.5 paid working hours per day plus a one-hour unpaid lunch break (8.5 hours on site per day).
