The athletics programstrives to create a diverse and inclusive environment emphasizingacademics, compliance, student-athlete welfare, fair playsportsmanship and Spartan Pride Job Description The Men’s Soccer Assistant Coach is responsible for assisting theHead Coach in organizing and managing all phases of a Division ISoccer program, including recruiting, team travel, strength andconditioning, student-athlete academic monitoring, public speaking,competition scheduling, budget management, and community/donorrelations. Brief Description of Duties Coaches the team at practices and competitive events. Oversee the academic and personal well-being ofstudent-athletes. Assists in building a nationally competitive Division I programthrough successfully recruiting and retaining high-levelstudent-athletes. Collaborate with the Head Coach, Athletic Trainers, andStrength & Conditioning Coach to design both academic year(in-season and out-of-season) and summer conditioningprograms. Assist with budgeting, reconciling expenses, and proposingpurchases for the soccer program. Serve as a liaison to the broader (University) community,engaging in alumni, fundraising, and other key stakeholderactivities. Organize community service events for the team. Responsible for assisting in all phases of a Division Iintercollegiate soccer program, which includes scheduling,recruiting, travel coordination, budgets, and fundraising. [ required ] Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree Successful collegiate or professional soccer coachingexperience Applicants must demonstrate an awareness of and sensitivity tothe educational goals of a multicultural population as might havebeen gained in cross-cultural study, training, teaching and othercomparable experience. [ required ] Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree Successful Division I collegiate or professional men’s soccercoaching experience. Compensation Classification: 2382 Coaching Assistant Anticipated Salary: $6,288 - $6,455 Employment Conditions Faculty employees must complete CSU employee training as assignedand required based on their role (e.g., Data Security, FERPA,Preventing Discrimination and Harassment, Title IX, Health andSafety). The work for this faculty position is located in the State ofCalifornia and requires commuting to the campus.
