Medical Device Assembler

NSC Staffing has an immediate opening for assemblers in Nashville, TN. Work Schedule: 8am-4:30pm with half hour unpaid lunch break Monday-Friday except for holidays. Pay rate $20 hourly.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Device Assembler to join our production team for a temporary assignment expected to last approximately 2 months. This position involves assembling medical device components, laminating parts, performing basic testing, and completing production documentation while adhering to strict quality and clean room standards. The ideal candidate has excellent fine motor skills, enjoys repetitive work, and can accurately follow detailed work instructions.

Essential Responsibilities

• Assemble medical device components according to detailed work instructions and established procedures.
• Laminate parts and perform basic product testing to ensure quality standards are met.
• Follow all clean room procedures and contamination control requirements.
• Operate assembly equipment and hand tools used in the manufacturing process, including but not limited to:
  • Handheld multimeter
  • Tweezers
  • Pouch sealer
• Complete required production forms and build records accurately and legibly.
• Inspect products for quality and report any defects or discrepancies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety, quality, and regulatory guidelines.
• Meet production goals while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing or assembly experience preferred.
• Medical device or clean room experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to understand and follow detailed written and verbal work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent fine motor skills and manual dexterity.
• Comfortable performing repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Ability to complete production documentation accurately.
• Dependable, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

• Frequently remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
• Frequently perform repetitive motions using hands, wrists, and fingers.
• Frequently reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally lift, carry, or move up to 15 pounds.
• Maintain visual focus and hand-eye coordination when working with small components.

Work Environment

• Work is performed in a clean room environment.
• No PPE is required; however, employees must wear closed-toe shoes and long pants.
• Fuzzy clothing is prohibited, and employees may not wear makeup or facial lotions while working in the clean room.
• Clean room gowns are provided and must be worn over clothing at all times.
• This assignment is expected to last approximately 2 months.
• The work is highly repetitive and requires employees to remain focused on quality, precision, and consistency throughout the shift.
