We are seeking a Registered Nurse for our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. This unit cares for patients with surgical and medical cardiac conditions. Common diagnoses include post-operative care for CABG, valve replacement/repair, Impella, IABP management, and thoracic aortic aneurysms. Patient care ratios are RN: 1:2 and CNA: 1:20. Support staff includes CNAs for ADLs, vital signs, and transport, as well as a charge nurse in the unit. Phlebotomy services are available, and intensivists are present 24/7. Technology and equipment include EMR systems, IV pumps, and unit-specific equipment like CRRT. Floating may occur within other critical care departments. The work environment is characterized by high acuity and a fast pace. Candidates with CVICU experience who are first-time travelers are welcome to apply.
