IMPORTANT:

These are 3-year, grant-funded positions supported by the Colorado Department of Education School Counselor Corps Grant (SCCG). Continued employment beyond the grant period may be possible if future funding becomes available, but it is not guaranteed. FTE by School Site Estes Park Middle School: 0.5 FTE — Secondary SCCG Counselor Estes Park High School: 0.5 FTE — Secondary SCCG Counselor The Secondary SCCG Counselor will serve students across both secondary campuses, supporting smooth transitions into high school and beyond. Temporary Educator Eligibility (TEE) Option Applicants who have not yet completed licensure may qualify for employment through Colorado's Temporary Educator Eligibility (TEE) Authorization, which allows eligible candidates to work while completing their preparation program. The Secondary School Counselor delivers comprehensive counseling services aligned to the ASCA National Model and Estes Park School District's commitment to global outcomes, individualized learning pathways, and whole-child development. This role places specialized emphasis on Colorado's statewide Postsecondary "Big Three" priorities: In-Demand Industry Credentials College Credit Aligned to Post-Secondary Pathways High-Quality Work-Based Learning Opportunities These priorities support statewide goals related to post-secondary enrollment, persistence, and completion. The counselor will support students' transitions from middle school through graduation (6-12) and into college, workforce training, credentials, apprenticeships, military service, or direct employment—ensuring equitable access for all Estes Park learners. Key Focus Areas in Estes Park In addition to SCCG requirements, this role will support Estes Park School District priorities, including: Attendance & Achievement intervention and improvement Advanced Learning Plans (ALPs) and individualized student goals College, career, and workforce readiness for a rural/mountain community context Family engagement centered on future planning and student success Post-secondary & Academic Readiness Collaborate with current counselors to implement a comprehensive counseling program aligned to SCCG and the ASCA National Model with a primary focus on the "Big Three". Lead student supports related to: Career exploration & pathway planning Work-based learning Industry credential access Concurrent enrollment and college credit options (TCC, AIMS, and FRCC) FAFSA completion & financial aid literacy Post-secondary applications & enrollment verification Graduation pathway support and academic/credit tracking Transition programming from middle to high school and high school to Post-secondary environments Coordinate: College and career fairs Campus visits and informational sessions Work-based learning experiences Military & apprenticeship engagement Transition events and onboarding activities Student Services Provide individual, group, and classroom counseling aligned to: Academic planning & credit completion Post-secondary goal-setting ALP development, implementation, and monitoring Attendance monitoring and intervention strategies Graduation readiness and pathway identification Design and deliver data-informed intervention supports for attendance, achievement, and engagement. Transitions & Community Partnerships Coordinate middle-to-high school transitions. Build partnerships with: Colleges & universities CTE & workforce programs Employers & industry partners Military recruiters Community agencies and organizations Apprenticeship & internship providers Family & Caregiver Engagement Facilitate workshops and information sessions related to: Graduation requirements & planning Post-secondary exploration & decision-making Attendance awareness & family partnership strategies Work collaboratively with administrators, teachers, mental health providers, and MTSS teams to support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions. Participate in school and district committees supporting attendance, ALPs, post-secondary readiness, and student transitions. SCCG Data Collection & Accountability Conduct required SCCG tracking, data collection, evaluation, and reporting. Monitor SCCG-related accountability metrics including Post-secondary Big Three outcomes. Administer needs assessments & surveys. Maintain accurate records and documentation per district and SCCG standards. Participate in SCCG state reporting submissions, continuous improvement cycles, and program evaluation. Qualifications Education & Licensure Master's Degree in School Counseling or related field required. Colorado Special Services Provider License with School Counselor endorsement OR Eligibility for Temporary Educator Eligibility (TEE) Authorization. Experience & Skills (Preferred) Secondary counseling or post-secondary advising. Familiarity with: Colorado graduation pathways Concurrent enrollment & credentialing programs FAFSA and financial aid systems Workforce & apprenticeship options ALP and ICAP processes Attendance intervention frameworks ASCA National Model & data-driven counseling practices Physical Requirements Ability to facilitate classroom presentations, events, and meetings. Frequent walking, standing, and sitting. Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

Salary range is, $50,000 to $70,800 with single benefits. Up to ten years of previous experience from an accredited school district may be granted. Position starts on August 03, 2026. FLSA exempt.
