Therapist - Respiratory Therapist

Job Summary:
Provides advanced respiratory care services to patients requiring emergency, critical, or therapeutic interventions. Collaborates with healthcare team members to develop and implement treatment plans, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through diagnostic testing and therapeutic techniques.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders through interviews, examinations, and assessments.

• Consult with physicians to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to patient needs.

• Create and implement therapy programs based on healthcare provider instructions and assessment findings.

• Perform diagnostic procedures such as measuring lung capacity and monitoring respiratory function.

• Administer treatments including chest physiotherapy, aerosol medications, and non-invasive ventilation therapies like CPAP and BIPAP.

• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment, ensuring safety and adherence to protocols.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of Respiratory Therapist (RRT) experience required.

• Active state license as a Respiratory Therapist in Michigan.

• Current NRBLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.

• Proficiency in diagnostic testing and therapeutic procedures for pulmonary and cardiopulmonary conditions.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for patient education and collaboration with medical staff.
