Sr. Data Engineer

Job Description

BravoTECH is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer for a premier Dallas-based client. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-scale data products and analytics solutions.
The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on data engineering expertise with experience building scalable, governed, and reusable data platforms. This individual will partner closely with business stakeholders, Product Delivery Leads, analysts, and fellow engineers to transform complex business requirements into high-quality data products that support enterprise decision-making.
This role requires deep expertise in data architecture, pipeline development, data modeling, and platform reliability while contributing to engineering best practices, code quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.


Key Responsibilities
Data Engineering & Platform Development

• Ideal candidate will be a technical Lead
• Design, develop, and support enterprise data solutions using ADF, MS Fabric, Python, SQL, PySpark, ETL
• Build and maintain scalable Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) data pipelines.
• Develop ingestion, transformation, validation, historization, and monitoring frameworks.
• Create robust ETL/ELT processes using PySpark, Power BI, Python, and SQL.
• Design and maintain governed data products, fact tables, dimensional models, and curated datasets.
• Support integration of ERP, CRM, finance, operational, marketing, and third-party data sources.
• Ensure data quality, lineage, observability, performance, and security across all solutions.
• Optimize data pipelines for scalability, maintainability, and operational efficiency.

Solution Design & Technical Delivery

• Translate business requirements, epics, and user stories into technical solutions and implementation plans.
• Collaborate with Product Delivery Leads, analysts, and business stakeholders to define requirements and deliver value-driven data products.
• Participate in technical design sessions, architecture discussions, and solution reviews.
• Identify dependencies, technical risks, and performance considerations throughout the development lifecycle.
• Contribute to engineering standards, reusable patterns, and development best practices.

Application & Analytics Enablement

• Support development of operational and analytical applications within Foundry.
• Build and enhance Foundry Workshop applications and user-facing solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver intuitive data experiences and actionable business insights.
• Develop React and JavaScript-based components when required.

Governance & Operational Excellence

• Support enterprise governance standards including metadata management, RBAC, lineage, and documentation.
• Implement validation, testing, monitoring, and operational support processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex data quality and pipeline issues.
• Contribute to technical debt reduction and continuous platform improvement initiatives.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or Data Platform Engineering.
