OverviewBuild Your Career with Rural KingThe Senior Financial Analyst - is an impactful role in the organization responsible for executing financial projects consisting of gathering, analyzing, interpreting, communicating, and monitoring financial data to drive business results across Rural King. This individual will partner with key stakeholders, including senior management, to address financials.ResponsibilitiesWhat You'll DoAssist with the budgeting and planning process, including, but not limited to:Produce the annual budget calendar of deadlines.Maintain and keep track of all budgeted line items on the Profit and Loss Statement with detailed documentation.Produce and maintain capital tracking detail.Facilitate communication and teamwork between all departments of the business.Responsible for working with top level executives to keep them up to date on budget deadlines and progress.Serve as a contact point for budget questions.Continuing to build models and enhance the budgeting processForecast the monthly Profit and Loss Statements.Develop and maintain long-term forecasting models, while coordinating with the CFO and the executive team.Develop models and analytical tools to improve company understanding of performance and to automate analytical and forecasting processes.Serve as a central contact point for Profit and Loss monthly meetings.Participate and facilitate the controller in the monthly closes.Lead and/or support the project management needs of the Finance team and the CFO.Understand the business unit(s) and the operating systems that support them. Serve as the project expert defining and executing projects regarding various business initiatives.Prepare business cases including financials and success factors for proposed operating and/or product changes.May conduct pilot tests of proposed operating and/or product changes.Complete post-audit of business cases after implementation is complete.Manage complex projects independently that typically cross multiple business units, divisions or states.Responsible for setting project priorities and for project results.Actively participate in learning initiatives offered such as training programs, workshops, and webinars. Leverage these opportunities to acquire new knowledge, refine existing skills, and stay current on the latest developments. Provide friendly, proactive, and professional internal and external support to others, assisting with inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and effectively. What We're Looking ForAt least 5 years of financial analyst experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.Confidence in playing an integral role in the annual business planning processExceptional financial analysis skills combined with insight into the nuances of the retail segmentExperience in preparing data sets, statistical reports and computer applications to support financial analysis workAbility to generate and speak to financial reporting to managementPrepare and/or train others on financial systems and serve as a technical resource to accounting teamAbility to create and maintain pro-forma and cash flow models for current and future areas/projectsStrong understanding of financial statements and financial reportsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Comfortable navigating computer systems and software to assist customers or manage activities. Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.Excellent customer service skills. Exact compensation determined by factors such as geographic location, education, certifications, experience, job level, shift, and organizational needs.
