Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring cardiac experience, Epic EMR proficiency, and a Missouri or compact RN license.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes cardiac diagnoses such as chest pain, post-cath lab interventions, post-cardiothoracic surgery, and patients requiring cardiac drips
• Patient ratio of 1:5–6
• Epic EMR experience required
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:00)
• Every other weekend required

Requirements

• Active MO RN license or compact RN license — permanent license required, temporary licenses not accepted
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Cardiac experience required, including cardiac drips, cardiothoracic surgery, chest pain, post-cath lab interventions, and other cardiac-specific diagnoses
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for this position
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Skills include cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, vasoactive and cardiac drip management, central and PICC line care, blood product administration, tracheostomy care, BiPAP/CPAP management, wound care, and feeding tube management
• Pre-start facility modules are required and average approximately 4 hours to complete
• Holiday rotation required with limited RTO during holiday periods
