The Opportunity


A growing artisan bakery and restaurant concept is preparing to open its newest location in Logan Circle, Washington, DC , and we're looking for an experienced General Manager to lead it.


This is an opportunity to take ownership of a new location from the start-building the front-of-house team, establishing a strong service culture, and creating the kind of neighborhood experience that keeps guests coming back.


We're looking for a hands-on hospitality leader who can balance people, operations, financial performance, and guest experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment.


What You'll Do

• Lead daily restaurant and bakery operations with a strong presence on the floor
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop a high-performing FOH team
• Establish service standards and create a welcoming, guest-focused culture
• Manage scheduling and labor to meet operational and financial goals
• Monitor sales, labor, inventory, and key performance metrics
• Oversee payroll reconciliation, including hours, tips, and PTO
• Manage liquor inventory, ordering, and compliance
• Utilize Toast POS for reporting, menu management, operational tracking, and troubleshooting
• Train team members to use POS systems accurately and efficiently
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide consistent coaching and feedback
• Address employee concerns and guest issues quickly and professionally
• Partner with culinary leadership to maintain consistency in food quality and service
• Monitor guest feedback and identify opportunities to continuously improve the experience
• Maintain strong standards for cleanliness, food safety, sanitation, and overall restaurant presentation
• Build a culture of accountability where people know what is expected and have the support to succeed

What We're Looking For

• Proven restaurant management experience, ideally at the General Manager or senior management level
• Full-service restaurant, bakery, café, or similar hospitality experience
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to hire, develop, and retain great people
• Solid understanding of labor management, scheduling, payroll, inventory, and restaurant financial performance
• Strong operational and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Experience with restaurant POS systems; Toast experience strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of food safety and sanitation requirements
• Ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Availability to work the schedule required of a restaurant General Manager, including weekends and holidays when necessary

Compensation & Benefits


Base Salary: $85,000-$95,000 , based on experience
