Our fully owned network infrastructure, resident-first support model, and tailored technology stack enable us to offer a refreshingly different alternative to legacy providers - one rooted in simplicity, reliability, and satisfaction.Role OverviewThe Low Voltage Technician, as part of the Field Operations team, plays a crucial role in Zentro's success by supporting our Broadband Technicians as they service both residential and commercial customers through installations, troubleshooting and more. As a member of the Leadership team, the Broadband Technician is responsible for the development and success of their team.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAnalyze and troubleshoot basic technical problems or issuesAbility to build out closets and dress bundles of cables in closet.Reviews, interpret and work with various cut sheets, drawings, blueprints and testing documentsAccurately test copper cables to required certificationPhysically install Cat3, Cat 5, Cat 5e, Cat 6 and Cat 6A Structured Cable Distribution SystemsInstallation of outlets, pulling cable, fire stopping and pre-termination including organizing, forming, dressing and labeling cables to industry standardsArrange maintenance sessions to discover and mend inefficienciesKeep records of repairs and fixes for future referenceTerminate, assemble and install 8-pin modular connectors and coaxial connectorsTest, diagnose and correct copper problemsMaintain and reference industry standards including ANSI,EIA/TIA and local and Low Voltage CodeDetermine closet and equipment layouts and install closet hardware including backboards, connecting blocks, racks and patch panelsAbility to work respectively with others and work independentlyAbility to climb and work at elevations from (ladders, poles, lift trucks) exceeding 18 feetAbility to work in confined spaces (attics, crawl spaces, utility holes)CompensationHourly rate of $23-26 depending on experience and skillsetHealth and Dental benefits; paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays; 401k plan, 5% annual bonus opportunity and many more great perksThe opportunity to work, learn, and "wear many hats" in a dynamic and friendly small-office environmentScheduleM-F 6:30am-3:00pm, with OT as neededThis is an in person/field work positionZentro Internet is an Equal Opportunity Employer; employment with Zentro Internet is governed on the basis of merit, competence and qualifications and will not be influenced in any manner by race, color, religion, creed, gender, gender identity or expression, age, national origin or ancestry, citizenship, disability, sexual orientation, marital status, pregnancy, veteran status, membership in the uniformed services, genetic information, or any other basis protected by applicable law.
