Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

The Emergency Department is a vital unit providing essential care in high-pressure situations. Key details include:

• Number of Beds: 40+
• Staffing: 120+ personnel
• Patient Ratios: Typically 4:1 (3 rooms and 1 hall bed in high volume)
• Equipment: Cardiac monitors, EKGs, Ultrasound, Belmont Rapid Infuser, IO Drills, Lifepak, etc.
• EMR: Meditech

This role involves delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong adaptability and teamwork skills. The Emergency Department operates both day and night shifts, with the team consisting of Clinical Nurse Coordinators, Team Leads, Registered Nurses, Advanced Paramedics, Emergency Department Technicians, Mental Health Support Coordinators, and Secretaries.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform IV starts and phlebotomy
• Monitor and interpret cardiac signals
• Work collaboratively with team members to provide patient-centered care

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will possess the following credentials and skills:

• Required Certifications:
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
  • ENPC (Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course)
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) for RN
• Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in high-pressure medical environments
  • Background in medical fields such as RN, Medic, Technician, etc.
