OTR Dry van Company driver (W-2) Job in Elk Point, SD by HMD Trucking

Requirements

• 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
• No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
• No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
• No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
• Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

Vacancy description

Based in Elk Point, SD, you'll drive nationwide dry van routes for HMD Trucking as a solo CDL-A operator. The position focuses on dependable freight movement, professional customer interactions, and strict adherence to safety and compliance requirements.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections, report issues, and coordinate maintenance with our in-house team.
• Properly secure cargo, follow Hours-of-Service regulations, and keep dispatch informed of status and delays.
• Maintain accurate ELD records and delivery paperwork across regional and national trips.

Compensation & requirements: Starting pay is 65¢/mile with weekly averages around 2,500 miles. Drivers receive modern trucks (under three years), safety and referral bonuses, biweekly home time, and full benefits. Must possess a CDL-A and at least 12 months verifiable experience.
