Senior Buyer

The Buyer manages the full procurement lifecycle in a fast-paced R&D environment, supporting projects and ensuring timely delivery of materials, including automotive and prototype parts. This role works closely with internal teams and suppliers to manage purchase orders, resolve issues, and keep projects on track.

Responsibilities

• Manage and track purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery

• Support projects in a fast-moving R&D environment

• Partner with internal teams and external suppliers

• Review CAD drawings and specifications for accurate purchasing

• Use SAP/ERP systems to manage procurement activities

• Resolve issues related to orders, pricing, and deliveries

• Maintain documentation, reports, and data accuracy

• Adapt to changing priorities and timelines

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of procurement or purchasing experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

• Experience with SAP and ERP/MRP systems

• Ability to read CAD drawings (automotive/prototype parts preferred)

• Strong organization, problem-solving, and communication skills

• Experience working cross-functionally and managing multiple priorities

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Ariba or SAP Business Network

• Background in R&D, engineering, or automotive environments

Work Environment

The role is based in an open cubicle work environment within an R&D center, promoting collaboration and frequent interaction with designers, engineers, and other stakeholders. Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the possibility of overtime to meet project deadlines. A uniform is required as part of the dress code. The opportunity offers a long-term contract setting with paid time off and holiday pay while on contract, contributing to a stable and supportive work experience.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $44.00/hr.
