Overview

Our organization, a prominent faith-based healthcare system with 55 hospitals across 9 states, is on the lookout for a Gastroenterology Program Director to lead our inaugural Gastroenterology Fellowship Program , set to launch in 2027. We are in search of a dynamic, board-certified, and seasoned professional to oversee this new fellowship, which will be associated with our facility in Tampa, the largest tertiary care hospital in the West Florida Division and the second largest within our network. The Tampa location boasts 626 beds and recently expanded with the Taneja Center for Surgery, inaugurated in 2022.

We are excited to broaden our Graduate Medical Education initiatives at AdventHealth Tampa. Our Internal Medicine Residency Program welcomed its first cohort in 2023, followed by the introduction of General Surgery and Obstetrics & Gynecology Residency Programs in 2024. These initiatives underscore our dedication to nurturing the next generation of compassionate and skilled healthcare professionals. Additionally, we have established Family Medicine Residency opportunities at AdventHealth Wesley Chapel in 2024 and AdventHealth Ocala in 2025, further enhancing our regional influence and commitment to medical education.

Situated in the uptown district, our Tampa facility is a 626-bed tertiary hospital catering to Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, and neighboring counties. The hospital is recognized for its leadership in minimally invasive and robotic-assisted procedures, and in 2021, we unveiled the Taneja Center for Surgery, a cutting-edge six-story surgical and patient tower. Additionally, we house the esteemed AdventHealth Pepin Heart Institute, a leader in cardiovascular disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and innovative research for over three decades. Our specialty services encompass 24-hour emergency care for both adults and children, as well as cardiovascular medicine, digestive health, neuroscience, orthopedics, women's services, pediatrics, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, and sleep medicine.
