Lubrication TechnicianThe Weyerhaeuser sawmill located in Plymouth, NC has an opening for a skilled Lead Lubrication Technician. This role is responsible for equipment lubrication, contamination control, inspection and proactive maintenance activities for all lubricated mechanical systems. Retirement: Employees are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your eligible pay.Key Functions:Coordination of inventory and routine ordering of lubrication productsUse of tools and equipment for routine and non-routine lubrication functionsMechanical modification of systems as directed to facilitate sampling and filtration, and other proactive improvementsInspecting filters and breathers on reservoirsOperating filtration equipmentLabeling and tagging reservoirs, equipment, inventory and delivery containersPrinting and fulfilling planned lubrication activitiesUpdate scheduling systems, including adding notes to system and requesting work orders for maintenance repairs and activitiesPerform field level oil analysis, including Crackle, Viscosity, Demulsibility and Blotter TestSchedule, collect, label and mail samples for analysisReceive and evaluate oil analysis results for future planned maintenanceReport in writing any discrepancies or conditions that require corrective, predictive or planned maintenance for production systemsQualifications:High school diploma or GED required5+ years of industrial maintenance or lubrication experience2+ years in an advanced or senior lubrication roleExperience working with CMMS systems and maintenance work managementICML Machine Lubrication Technician (MLT 1 certification)Lead and manage the site lubrication program, ensuring alignment with reliability best practicesDevelop, maintain and enforce lubrication standards, procedures and work instructionsTrain, mentor and develop lubrication techniciansGood oral and written communication skillsAbility to work independently with little supervisionCapability to read and interpret technical documents, such as: OEM Maintenance plans, blue prints, advanced lubrication technology instruction and recommendations, software system instructionsCapability to perform basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) for the purpose of interpreting alarms, calculating lubricant inventory and calculating relubrication quality considerationsAble to operate moderately complex software and web-based programs of lubrication scheduling and oil analysis functionsUnderstanding of fundamental lubrication concepts and their applications (such as Viscosity, NLGI#'s V.I., AW, EP, R&O, ISO Cleanliness Codes, Beta Filter Rating, etc.)Solid fundamental understanding of mechanical, hydraulic and circulating systems operation, contamination control and maintenance functionsProven initiative and strong work habitsAbout Wood Products: We've been delivering quality building products and solutions to our customers for more than 100 years.
