Position Summary: The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and operation of the warehouse, including shipping and receiving, inventory control, fleet and equipment coordination, warehouse personnel, and oversight of the tool-management function. This is a hands-on leadership position that actively participates in daily warehouse operations while ensuring company assets, materials, equipment, and personnel are managed safely and efficiently in support of field operations.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and lead warehouse staff, provide guidance and training on equipment while overseeing tool managementSchedule tasks, assign duties, ensure activities are performed effectively while responding to fluctuating workloadsCreate pick tickets and labels, pull, organize, stage and document orders to ensure accurate fulfillment to job siteReceive, examine and inspect deliveries, reporting any damage or shortages to Project Managers promptlyCoordinate warehouse personnel, vehicles, equipment, tooling and material deliveries to meet project schedulesMaintain accurate inventory records, review aging inventory monthly and coordinate disposition with PMsMaintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and SOPsIdentify and implement process improvements to increase operational efficiencyCoordinate preventive maintenance and required inspections for warehouse equipment, vehicles, and trailersReview and process invoices, approve expenses within authority and allocate costs to the appropriate projectsMaintain a clean, orderly warehouse and yard through daily housekeeping assignments and inspectionsEnsure telephone calls, voicemails, text messages and emails are answered promptly with resolution Work on special projects as assigned by the Department ManagerReview, enter and track employee time, schedule and approve overtimeAssess employee performance, provide coaching and corrective action while supporting developmentRequired Qualifications7 or more years of experience in warehouse management or construction logistics with leadership responsibilityAbility to communicate professionally and work well with PMs, craftsmen, office staff and third partiesStrong attention to detail, organization, dependability, and ability to manage multiple prioritiesProficient with warehouse management systems and Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Excel, and TeamsAbility to manually load and unload materials in excess of 60 lbs onto trucks, trailers and other equipmentAbility to work in inside and outside conditions, varied temperature changes, vibrations, dust and noiseWorking knowledge of construction tools, warehouse equipment, vehicles, trailers, and heavy equipmentSkillsCommunication - Conveying information to others in an effective manner, giving full attention to recipientsCritical thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify solutions to problems Prioritizing - Ability to recognize and schedule tasks by urgency and importanceValid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirementsEducationHigh School DiplomaAt J.F.
