This collaborative environment delivers FRESH THINKING, reassuring our customers that they choose the best when they choose to work with the people of Dover Food Retail.What the Role Involves :As a Senior Service Technician, you will play a key role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial refrigeration systems installed in supermarkets, convenience stores, and food service establishments.Respond to service calls as directed.Troubleshoot and repair rack systems, self-contained cases, HVAC units, and VFDs.Restore equipment to proper operating condition.Report follow-up needs to dispatch, leads, and managers.Participate in on-call rotation (nights, weekends, holidays).Follow all safety policies and procedures.Communicate with customers, technicians, and service staff.Complete and submit all required paperwork and packing slips daily.Maintain truck stock inventory.Perform other duties as assigned.Basic Qualifications :High school diploma or GED required5–7 years of experience in supermarket refrigerationEPA 608 Certification (Type I & II minimum; Universal preferred)Valid state-issued driver’s licenseThe Ideal Candidate Will :Communicate effectively in English (spoken and written); Spanish proficiency is a plus, but not requiredDemonstrate strong customer service skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindsetBe proficient with computer software used for work order management, scheduling, and spreadsheets (e.g., Excel)Possess in-depth knowledge of supermarket refrigeration systems, including energy management systemsOwn a complete set of hand tools necessary for the roleBe willing and able to mentor and support the development of junior techniciansWork independently with minimal supervisionUphold high standards in work quality, customer responsiveness, safety, financial responsibility, and team collaborationWhy Choose Dover Food Retail (AMS Division)?We believe in a collaborative entrepreneurial spirit and winning through our customers.
