Senior Accounting Specialist (AP/AR) - Direct Hire

Maitland, FL (100% On-Site)

Full-Time | Direct Hire

$65,000 - $80,000 (DOE)

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Senior Accounting Specialist to join our team in Maitland, FL. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has strong experience across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and month-end reconciliations .

Key Responsibilities

• Perform full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
• Process and reconcile credit card transactions to ensure accurate financial records
• Prepare and distribute customer invoices in a timely manner
• Apply payments and proactively monitor aging reports / collections
• Execute month-end reconciliations and support close activities
• Process AP invoices and ensure accurate and timely payments
• Maintain vendor and customer account records, resolving discrepancies as needed
• Respond to vendor and customer inquiries professionally and efficiently
• Monitor AP/AR reports to identify trends, issues, and discrepancies
• Verify subcontractor insurance and follow up as needed
• Create and distribute work orders to field teams
• Manage field tickets and documentation
• Collaborate with payroll as needed (payroll exposure is a plus)

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)
• Experience with AP/AR and account reconciliations
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop
• Intermediate Excel skills (reporting, data analysis)
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, etc.)
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with payroll processes
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
