This role involves providing essential legal advice and support on a variety of commercial initiatives and transactions for the Discover Network, working closely with business and legal partners across the organization. You will find that the Legal Department is not a "check the box" function but instead, an important voice and strategic partner in all aspects of the business.About the Role:The attorney will provide support for the Discover Network on the US Commercial and Product legal team with a focus on merchant relationships. The ideal candidate should have expertise in commercial contracting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.Chicago, IL: $209,500 - $239,100 for Director, Asst General CounselMcLean, VA: $230,400 - $263,000 for Director, Asst General CounselNew York, NY: $251,400 - $286,900 for Director, Asst General CounselRichmond, VA: $209,500 - $239,100 for Director, Asst General CounselRiverwoods, IL: $209,500 - $239,100 for Director, Asst General CounselCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
