Support Specialist Supervisor

PROGRAM: Family Support Organization Behavioral Services of Louisiana, LLC REPORTS TO: Director of Operations RESPONSIBILITIES Provide Direct oversight to Support Specialist Complete weekly quality assurance measures. Ensure that Support Specialists are producing effective documentation of all meetings with families Maintain open communication with the Wraparound Agencies Ensure that treatment goals and interventions from the Plan of Care are being correctly implemented Marketing and Community Outreach Conduct monthly staff meetings and supervisions with Support Specialist Provide ongoing education and training to the Support Specialist as needed Be able, or willing to learn, to use computer interface to complete documentation for billing or other purposes as needed. Return phone calls promptly Follow all safety rules May also be responsible for Providing individual Support Specialist services in the community. Participating with the youth's Child Family Team meeting. Assisting in teaching problem‑solving skills, coping mechanisms and strategies for their youth’s symptoms and behavior management. Assisting parents in identifying, enhancing, and establishing support networks, community awareness, coping strategies, to improve the youth's functioning in their social environments (home, work, school). Teaching parents skills that help improve the youth’s self‑management of the negative effects of psychiatric or emotional symptoms. Assisting parents in identifying, effectively responding to or avoiding identified precursors (triggers) that lead to functional impairments in social environments (home, work, school). Helping implement the youth's Plan of Care on an ongoing basis. Participating in collaborative meetings with Behavioral Health Services staff, other agencies or community and natural supports as needed. Communicating parent’s status on a regular basis, including, but not limited to changes in effectively parenting or ability to understand/manage youths functioning, medical issues and all crisis and health and safety issues. Being knowledgeable of and adept at producing effective documentation of every contact with parent or other members that provide significant support to youth. Turning in notes on time according to policy. Documenting all no shows, and communicating all difficulties contacting clients with appropriate office staff. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Has a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a human services field; or A bachelor’s degree in any field with two years of full‑time experience working with family, children/youth or community service capacity. Must self‑identify as a current or former consumer of mental health services; and Must demonstrate a minimum of 6 months in self‑directed recovery within the last year; and Successful completion of parent support training and Behavioral Services of Louisiana Required Trainings Complete Parent Support Supervisor Training Job Type: Full-time #J-18808-Ljbffr
