Winn Army Community Hospital is a 112-bed community hospital which will feature a new Women’s Health and Mammography Center. Our healthcare team provides primary and specialty care for a patient population of over 70,000. As a civilian family practice physician you will play an integral role in providing exceptional healthcare to the Soldiers and Families in our great Army and the 3rd Infantry Division.
Key supporting specialties at Winn include OB/Gyn, general and orthopedic surgery, EENT, Psychiatry, Dermatology, and Urology. Enjoy the benefits of a full inpatient and outpatient EMR with digital radiography.

Responsibilities
Duties
The incumbent operates as an independent professional under the administrative supervision of Mental Health, carrying out duties in accordance with accepted psychological theories and practices. Assignments are received in broad terms with the expectation of autonomous implementation and professionally sound outcomes.
1. Clinical Assessment:
• Screens, interviews, and performs bio-psychosocial evaluations.• Conducts complex psychological testing and intakes.• Selects and documents treatment plans and coordinates community/referral resources.• Delivers briefings and coordinates care among multidisciplinary providers.
2. Therapy & Case Management:
• Conducts individual, group, couple, and family therapy utilizing evidence-based modalities (CBT, brief psychotherapy, crisis intervention).• Manages complex treatment plans and serves on a rotating, on-call crisis basis.• Coordinates multidisciplinary care with commands, legal, and community agencies.• Integrates military-specific factors (e.g., deployment cycle) into treatment plans.
3. Administration & QA:
• Directs program evaluation, performance improvement initiatives, and SOP revisions.• Ensures compliance with Joint Commission (TJC), DoD, and state regulations.• Manages risk, conducts quality assurance record audits, and monitors operational budgets/manpower surveys.
4. Psychological Testing:
• Selects, administers, and interprets complex psychological test instruments.• Secures test inventory and consults on testing interpretation and diagnostic release.
5. Professional Development:
• Designs and participates in in-service training and continuing education.• Ensures strict adherence to professional ethical codes and maintains clinical scope of practice.
Qualifications
US Citizenship required
Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.
A current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently from a U.S. State, the District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction is required.
Candidates will have completed an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited doctoral graduate program and an APA accredited predoctoral internship.
